In response to the spirit of International Mathematics Day, on March 14, 2022, the UNESCO International Center for Mathematical Research and Training, the Institute of Mathematics and the Vingroup Innovation Fund (VinIF) co-organized the International Math Day 2022 with the theme “Mathematics connects us”.
This is the second year that the UNESCO International Center for Mathematical Research and Training and the Vingroup Innovation Fund (VinIF) have co-organized the International Math Day event, to emphasize the connection and role of mathematics in space and time, Mathematics connects disciplines, connecting us as elements of society.
In this contexte, Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Doanh – Co-Director of ACROSS was present and displayed the Dioxin Modeling as part of the general exhibition of the event.
Dioxin Diffusion in Bien Hoa Airbase is a modelling and tangible simulation for dioxin diffusion in Bien Hoa Airbase, Dong Nai Province, Vietnam. Our methodology is to couple mathematical model (reaction-diffusion model) and computer-base model (multi-agent model) on the GIS of the selected case study area in order to (1) Representing dioxin contamination on surface at Bien Hoa Airbase/Dong Nai Province/Vietnam on the Geography Informatics System (GIS); and (2) Simulating dioxin diffusion in time and over space with different scenarios.
