Discrete mathematics and computer science play an important role in the digital era. They are key and essential tools in almost applied sciences as well as solving a very wide variety of practical problems in our daily life. The Abel Prize 2021 was awarded to Avi Wigderson (mathematician and computer scientist) and László Lovász (mathematician) for their contributions to discrete mathematics and computer science, showing the importance, close and the interference of the central fields of modern mathematics both in theoretical and applied aspects. The spirit of the International Conference on Discrete Mathematics and Computer Science ( ICDMCS), which will be held in Dalat, Vietnam on December 1-2, 2022, is to connect, strengthen and enlarge the network of researchers in these domains in Vietnam. It is a forum for scientists, PhD and master students to exchange ideas and methods, introduce and discuss results, research interests in combinatorics, graph theory, theoretical computer science, related issues and practical applications.
