The project focuses on supporting Vietnam in its cooperation projects with other southern countries in agroecology and sustainable practices in rice cultivation. The project aims to promote Vietnam’s agricultural production model and sustainable practices while enhancing international cooperation for food security and environmental sustainability.
Objectives:
1- Synthesize the Agricultural Situation in Vietnam:
• Conduct a scoping review of the current state of agriculture in Vietnam, with a focus on rice cultivation, including rice-fish farming
• Identify key challenges, opportunities, and perspectives for Vietnam to develop its agricultural cooperation and position itself as such on the international stage
• Conduct an in-depth review of agroecological practices, including ongoing projects, implementation strategies, and relevant policies
2- Assess and Map Agricultural Collaborations between Vietnam and Africa:
• Compile a detailed inventory of existing agricultural collaborations between Vietnam and African countries, with a focus on Senegal
• Evaluate the impact and outcomes of these collaborations
• Develop a strategic map highlighting potential areas for future partnerships and synergies
