On 4th and 5th August 2026, ACROSS Laboratory joined Thuyloi University’s exhibition booth at the Techfest Hải Phòng 2026, held at Vietnam Maritime University. The event provided an opportunity for the team to introduce two VR activities to the public – ÉVEIL and HÀ NỘI 1926 – while also promoting the SIMPLE VR Contest, a competition inviting young creators to design their own VR experiences.
Over the course of two days, the booth drew hundreds of visitors including young children, university students, technology professionals, business owners, and international guests alike.
To ensure all visitors could engage with the experience, the team introduced an alternative viewing option via personal smartphones. This flexible solution was well-received and widely appreciated by visitors.
Despite being in its early registration phase, the SIMPLE VR Contest attracted significant interest from students, parents, and technology companies at the booth. Supported by leading international experts, the contest was recognized as a high-potential platform which empowers young people to master emerging technologies while creating products that raise environmental awareness and drive sustainable development across the ASEAN region.
Beyond the VR experiences themselves, many visitors expressed interest in collaborating with ACROSS Laboratory (the research laboratory behind the SIMPLE project) to develop new VR applications in other areas.
