On June 13th, 2025, the SIMPLE team engaged in lively exchanges during the France Alumni Vietnam gathering at the French Embassy in Hanoi. This special event was part of the “Journée mondiale des Alumni” and celebrated the 10th anniversary of the Alumni Vietnam network.
Hosted by the Embassy of France in Vietnam and France Alumni Vietnam, in collaboration with UAVF – Association of Vietnamese Alumni in France, the Gala Alumni: “Pour nos 10 ans, innovons !” brought together over 200 alumni to explore innovation.
As a highlight of the “French-Vietnamese Year of Innovation,” the gala underscored the significant contributions of both France and Vietnam in science and technology. The SIMPLE project, developed by IRD, was honored to be showcased as one of these key contributions
We demonstrated our innovative Virtual Universes, including the Lu Lut (flooding model), a core part of SIMPLE, alongside the RAC model from ACROSS Laboratory. It was fantastic to share how these VR tools are making complex environmental issues more understandable and immersive in the classroom settings.
